Medical equipment may need to read a DataMatrix code before a sample tube enters the next test process. The scanner is installed inside the machine, while the tube passes through a fixed scanning position.

The code is small, and the tube surface is curved. If the label is glossy, part of the code may also reflect the scanner light.

Keep the Code in a Repeatable Position

XT206M2 can be built into medical equipment for reading QR and DataMatrix codes. For stable scanning, the tube holder should keep the code inside the scanner’s reading area.

If tubes can rotate freely, the code may face away from the scanner. The equipment may therefore need a wider visible area or a fixed tube orientation.

Test with Real Tubes

Code size, printing quality, tube diameter and scanning distance can all affect the result.

Customers can provide actual sample tubes or clear code images for testing. XTIOT will report the reading result under the provided conditions, while the customer confirms whether it meets the requirements of the finished equipment.
