Causes: Poor power supply, loose interface, or scanner damage.
Solution: Under normal circumstances, you will hear the “beep” startup sound when the barcode scanner is connected to your computer properly, which means the startup is normal, if there is no prompt sound, then it means that the scanner does not get started. Then please check the power supply, re-connect the barcode scanner to your computer properly. If it still does not work, it must be returned to the factory for repair.
2, There is a prompt sound when recognizing the barcode, but no data transmission.
Causes: The interface settings are not correct or the data cable is damaged.
Solution: Use the setup instructions and make the interface connects to right connection cable. PS/2 and USB can be input in any text or word files. The serial port must be set to matching correspondent agreement. Secondly, please check the data input interface of the application software installed in the terminal device is set correctly or replace another date line to test. If it still cannot transmit data, it must be returned to the factory for repair.
3, the scanner cannot read the barcode
Causes: A kind of code type decoding function of the scanner is closed, or the barcode printing is not standardized, or the barcode is damaged or blurry.
Solution: Follow the instructions, open the closed decoding system, press the switch, adjust the distance between the barcode scanner and the barcode from near to far. If even the scanner cannot read the setup code on the manual, it should be returned to the factory for repair.
4. The data transmitted by the barcode scanner does not match the data below the barcode.
Causes: The customer misread the other special settings in the manual when using it.
Solution: The barcode scanner can set some parameters that are not included in the barcode when transmitting data, please close the corresponding settings to cancel this function. After that, if still does not match, please check whether the barcode is wrong during the production process.
5, the laser line is becoming weak.
Causes: The laser emitting tube in the barcode scanner was burned out or other hardware reasons.Solution: This problem cannot be resolved by yourself, and it must be returned to the factory for repair.
1. The scanner cannot read some barcodes.
Causes: a) Checking the barcode type, start the barcode reading ability, if there is verification, please try to close it.
b) Hard to know the barcode type, please set to allow reading of all barcodes.
c) If the barcode is a dark-colored base, light-colored bar code (inverted code), please set to read the both forward and reverse of the barcode.
2.The barcode data is incorrect.
Causes:Checking the performance of a barcode error, all barcodes appears errors, or if a particular barcode has an error.
a) If there is a problem with a particular barcode.
The bar code data is missing and please turn on the verification. If invalid, please set to clear all interception methods.
If there is a "*" before and after the data, please set Code 39 does not transmit the start and end character "*".
If the barcode data is "a" and the reading data is "+A", then open Code to enable full ASCII reading function.
b) If all barcodes appear error, which indicates that the barcode data is preceded or followed by other information,
please set the prefixes and suffixes to be turned off. For details, please refer to the prefixes and suffixes settings in the manual.
3.The bar code can be read, but it cannot be transmitted
Causes: Check whether the serial port attributes such as baud rate, data bit, and stop bit are correct. Ensure that the serial port attributes of the serial port tool and the serial port attributes of the device are consistent, it will transmit the data correctly.
