Mandatory Marking Timeline

Since December 2019, the following light industry products have been required by law to carry Chestny ZNAK Data Matrix codes in Russia:

• Knitted wear (针织衫)

• Coats and jackets (长短外套、夹克)

• Windbreakers (风衣)

• Bed linen (床上用品)

• Table linen (餐桌用品)

• Bathroom linen (浴室用品)

Children's clothing and accessories are currently being added to the system, with expanded requirements coming into effect.

What Is Required?

Each product must bear a unique Data Matrix code containing:

• GTIN (Global Trade Item Number)

• Serial number

• Batch number

• Verification key (encrypted code)

For pallet and shipment tracking, SSCC codes are required at the aggregation level (case and pallet).
