Barcode Scanner Manufacturer with development & Invention ability
XTIOT barcode scanners support multiple flexible trigger modes to meet different application scenarios such as manual operation, continuous scanning, automatic sensing, and industrial automation. All modes can be easily configured via PC software, serial commands, or setup codes.
Common Trigger Modes
The scanner only decodes when the trigger button is pressed and held. It is the default mode for handheld scanners, suitable for retail, warehouse inventory, and general daily use. It provides accurate control and low power consumption.
The scanner automatically detects barcodes and reads them without pressing the button. It is widely used in supermarket POS, self-service checkouts, and desktop scanning scenarios. The sensing distance and sensitivity can be adjusted via software.
The scanner keeps emitting light and decoding continuously after the trigger is pressed once. It is suitable for high-speed sorting, assembly lines, and batch scanning scenarios to improve efficiency.
The scanner activates scanning for a short fixed time after each trigger press. It balances speed and power saving, ideal for handheld and embedded applications.
How to Select & Configure Trigger Modes
Connect the scanner to a computer, open the XTIOT configuration tool, go to the Working Mode page, select the desired trigger mode, and write settings to the device.
Send simple commands via USB COM or RS232 to switch modes, such as setting auto-sensing, continuous scanning, or IO trigger.
Scan the corresponding setup codes to switch trigger modes directly without a computer. This method is fast and convenient for on-site deployment.
Embedded & Kiosk: Auto-Sensing or Pulse Trigger
High compatibility: All trigger modes are supported across handheld, fixed-mount, and embedded models.
Flexible configuration: Multiple setting methods for different user levels.
Stable performance: Intelligent algorithm ensures accurate decoding and low false triggers.
Energy saving: Optimized trigger logic extends working time for wireless devices.
