Serial Number Generation Rules for Traceability Systems (XTIOT Solutions)
The serial number (SN) is a unique, encrypted identifier assigned to each product unit. Due to the controlled encryption and issuance process, serial numbers are non-predictable and cannot be generated arbitrarily by manufacturers.
In compliance with regulatory systems such as Russia’s CRPT (Chestny ZNAK), the platform does not allow reuse of serial numbers within the same GTIN. Each code must be globally unique and registered in the central system, ensuring full lifecycle traceability and anti-counterfeiting protection.
