Since 2011, GS1 Italy has partnered with Procedo to adopt Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for documents in the supply chain in the FMCG sector.

Procedo is a web portal that conducts EDI associations in a separate network environment. The Procedo website platform requires suppliers and retailers to digitize their business information and administrative management documents first, then share them online, and automatically upload them to the platform in a standard format, thereby reducing costs, reducing error rates, and helping enterprises to carry out paperless office , reduce paper usage.

So far, 450 companies have actively responded and exchanged data through the Procedo website platform, including 35 Italian companies and 4 multinational retailers.
