What Is Chilled Food Batch Traceability?

Chilled foods – ready meals, sandwiches, yogurts, fresh pasta – have short shelf lives. Every batch must be traceable from raw ingredients to the refrigerated pallet.

If a quality issue occurs (e.g., temperature abuse, wrong ingredient), you need to recall only the affected batch. Not the whole production run.

Batch traceability means: Scan the batch code and see what ingredients were used, when it was made, and where it was shipped.
