What Changed on May 1, 2026?
Starting May 1, 2026, LED lamps and lighting fixtures became subject to mandatory Chestny ZNAK marking in Russia .
This means lighting products now require two types of compliance to enter Russia:

What Lighting Products Are Affected?
The new rules apply to LED light sources and lamps :

Two Steps for Customs Clearance
Step 1: EAC Certificate (Safety)
EAC certification is based on three technical regulations :

Where to get it: EAEU‑approved certification body. Only an EAEU resident can be the certificate holder .
Lead time: 7‑25 working days depending on product type .
Step 2: Chestny ZNAK Marking (Traceability)
Each lighting product package must carry a Data Matrix code with :
GTIN (global trade item number)
Serial number
Batch number
Expiry date (where applicable)
Verification key (encrypted)

Workflow for Lighting Exporters to Russia

What Happens If You Don‘t Comply?
