The XTMZ40 reads all visible DataMatrix codes on a sample tray in one capture. It replaces the process of scanning every tube individually.

Full-Tray DataMatrix Scanning

The camera captures the complete tray instead of reading one code at a time. Its decoding system locates multiple DataMatrix codes inside the image and processes them as one batch.

A single reading can contain more than 100 codes, depending on:

• DataMatrix size

• Tray dimensions

• Number and spacing of samples

• Working distance

• Code print quality

Data Output to the Host System

After decoding, the XTMZ40 sends the complete barcode data list to the connected computer or control system.

Data can be transferred through interfaces such as Ethernet or RS232, depending on the project configuration. The customer’s software receives the decoded results and processes them according to the application workflow.

The output can be used for:

• Sample registration

• Tray and batch verification

• Database matching

• Production record updates

• MES or laboratory system input

Quantity and Code Checking

The host system can compare the received code list with the expected tray data.

It can check whether:

• The number of decoded codes is correct

• The same code appears more than once

• A code has the wrong length or format

• A tray position has no readable code

XTMZ40 supplies the scanning and decoded data output. Database matching and business rules are handled by the customer’s software. Missing-position identification and special output formats can be evaluated according to the tray layout and project requirements.

Before testing, customers should provide the tray dimensions, number of codes, DataMatrix size and clear sample images.
