Reading one QR code and reading a full tray of QR codes are two different jobs.

A normal barcode scanner module usually reads one code inside a small area. A full-tray system must capture the complete tray in one image and keep every QR code clear enough for decoding.

High-Resolution Camera and Multi-Code Software

A full-tray QR scanning system uses a high-resolution camera installed above the tray. After one image is taken, the software finds and decodes all QR codes in the image.

It can also check the total quantity and show:

• Missing codes

• Unreadable codes

• Repeated data

• Codes in the wrong position

For example, if a tray should contain 64 products but only 63 valid codes are found, the system can show which position has a problem.

The Actual Tray Must Be Tested

Camera selection depends on the tray size, number of positions and QR code size. Moving the camera higher can cover a larger tray, but each QR code becomes smaller in the image.

Lighting and surface reflection also affect the result. This is why the system must be tested with the actual tray and QR codes before the camera is selected.
