The XT751M supports three common trigger methods: command, sensor and continuous mode. The right choice depends on how the equipment starts each scan.
Command Mode
The host sends a command to start scanning.
Use this mode when scanning must follow the software workflow. The customer develops the host software, while XTIOT provides the scanner hardware and communication commands.
Sensor Mode
The scanner activates when a barcode approaches the reading window.
This mode is suitable for self-service equipment where users present a phone, ticket or printed code for scanning.
Continuous Mode
The scanner remains active and reads codes continuously.
It is suitable when barcodes pass the scanning window frequently. The host system may need to filter repeated data.
